Career Advisory Networks Committee Scope of Work

The SAIS Women’s Alumni Network (SWAN) is looking for two highly motivated alumni to co-head the Career Advisory Networks Committee!

Committee Objectives

  • Plan and organize 2-3 skills development workshops per year that strengthen alumni professional development skills
  • Catalyze strong relationships among SAIS women alumnae
  • Expand SWAN’s reach and impact throughout the DC alumni community

Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan and implement alumni career skills development workshops and other career-related events by:
    • Coordinating with SWAN DC leadership committee, SAIS Office of Alumni Relations, vendors, facilitators and panelists
    • Brainstorming workshop topics
    • Identifying, selecting and liaising with alumni workshop facilitators and panelists
    • Planning event show-flow and budget
  • Assist SWAN Leadership committee members to execute various types of SWAN events organized by other committee members
  • Attend monthly SWAN leadership committee meetings and conference calls
  • Participate in SWAN DC annual planning session
  • Other duties as assigned

Time Commitment

4 hours per month (Including 1.5 hours per month via in-person or conference call with the SWAN DC Leadership committee)
